NESTLED IN THE HILLS OF OAKLAND, THIS SEQUOYAH COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING WAS THE PERFECT BALANCE OF PLAYFUL ENERGY AND ORGANIC ELEGANCE. SURROUNDED BY FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND SWEEPING VIEWS OF THE EAST BAY, THE COUPLE CREATED A CELEBRATION THAT FELT DEEPLY PERSONAL AND COMPLETELY THEIR OWN.

Inspired by the natural beauty of California, the design featured lush organic florals accented with vibrant California poppies. The cheerful bursts of orange added the perfect pop of color throughout the day, bringing warmth, movement, and a sense of whimsy to the overall design. Paired with soft, garden-inspired florals and natural textures, the result felt fresh, modern, and effortlessly inviting.

One of the things I loved most about this wedding was how intentionally the couple incorporated details that reflected their personalities. Guests were treated to a boba station during the celebration, a fun and unexpected touch that quickly became a crowd favorite. It was the perfect nod to the couple’s love of sharing good food and memorable experiences with the people they love.

While many couples choose a traditional first dance, the groom had a different surprise in mind. Instead of taking to the dance floor, he took the microphone and performed a song for his bride. The room fell silent as guests watched this heartfelt moment unfold, creating one of the most memorable and emotional parts of the entire day. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

From the colorful California-inspired florals to the boba station and surprise musical performance, every detail felt authentic to who they are as a couple. Their wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations are often the ones that embrace personality, tell a story, and create unforgettable moments for everyone in attendance.
