ROMANTIC GARDEN WEDDING | PARK WINTERS, WINTERS

K& F | PARK WINTERS, WINTERS

SOME WEDDINGS ARE BEAUTIFUL. OTHERS ARE A PERFECT REFLECTION OF THE COUPLE. THIS PASTEL GARDEN WEDDING AT PARK WINTERS WAS BOTH.

Surrounded by blooming gardens and the charm of Northern California countryside, the couple created a celebration that blended meaningful Chinese traditions, playful personal touches, and their shared love of food. Every detail felt intentional, joyful, and unmistakably them.

The day began with a lively “Fetch the Bride” tradition, where the groom and his groomsmen participated in a series of door games before earning the opportunity to see his bride. Filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of cheering from family and friends, it was the perfect start to a day rooted in culture and celebration.

Following the tea ceremony, the newlyweds made a memorable entrance to Park Winters in a vintage convertible, arriving in style before exchanging vows surrounded by soft pastel florals and the people they love most.

As self-proclaimed foodies, the couple infused their passion for food into nearly every aspect of the guest experience. Instead of traditional table numbers, the groom hand-illustrated some of their favorite dishes, turning each table into a unique conversation piece. Their seating chart was inspired by beloved foods and restaurants that had played a role in their relationship, while guests signed a cookbook in place of a traditional guest book, leaving notes and memories alongside recipes they could revisit for years to come.

Of course, no foodie celebration would be complete without boba. Guests enjoyed refreshing drinks throughout the evening, adding a fun and personal touch that reflected the couple’s everyday favorites.

The playful details continued into the reception. Rather than a traditional bouquet toss, the bride tossed a stuffed animal into a crowd of eager guests, creating one of the most entertaining moments of the night and plenty of laughter along the way.

As dinner concluded and the dance floor opened, the celebration transformed into an unforgettable party. Guests gathered around mahjong tables, while others took turns singing karaoke, creating a lively atmosphere that carried late into the evening. It was the perfect ending to a wedding that prioritized connection, culture, and genuine fun over tradition for tradition’s sake.

From the tea ceremony and door games to the illustrated food-inspired details, boba station, mahjong, and karaoke, every moment of this Park Winters wedding celebrated the couple’s story in a way that felt authentic, meaningful, and incredibly memorable.

CLIENT LOVE NOTE

We truly cannot recommend Yi and her team enough. Before choosing our planner, we interviewed more than 15 wedding planners, and immediately after meeting Yi, I turned to my husband and said, “She’s the one.” From the very beginning, we were drawn to her energy, honesty, professionalism, and no-BS attitude. We instantly trusted that she would bring our vision to life beautifully – and somehow, she exceeded every expectation we had.

As someone who is usually the planner of everything in my life, trusting someone else to execute such an important day was honestly very hard for me. Yi may genuinely be the only exception. She handled everything with so much care, confidence, patience, and attention to detail that I was actually able to relax and enjoy being a bride.

From responding to my random late-night stress spirals to literally helping transport our wedding cake to the venue (which was absolutely not part of her job), she went above and beyond for us in ways we never expected. There were so many moments throughout the process where I felt overwhelmed, and she would calmly ask, “Is there something I can do?” That level of support meant more to me than she probably realizes.

One moment that truly showed us what an incredible planner Yi is was how she handled an emergency behind the scenes. Less than 24 hours before our wedding, our rental car vendor suddenly told us the car we booked was no longer available. Yi handled the entire situation herself and intentionally didn’t even tell us until afterward because she didn’t want us stressed on our wedding day. That is what a REAL planner does. She protects the bride and groom from unnecessary stress and quietly handles problems before anyone even notices they exist.

Honestly, Yi made everything feel effortless and seamless for our guests. So many people told us how smooth, organized, and thoughtful the entire wedding felt. Looking back now, we realize how much of that was because Yi was constantly working behind the scenes to make sure everyone had an amazing experience while allowing us to stay fully present and enjoy every moment.

Watching her bring our vision to life was honestly incredible. One of my biggest regrets from the wedding is not getting a photo with her because she was THAT busy making sure everything ran perfectly. I kept hearing stories afterward about all the little fires she handled without us ever knowing. She somehow even managed to tame my crazy nephews for their ring bearer duties – their own parents were shocked!

Yi is truly exceptional at what she does. If you are looking for someone who is organized, trustworthy, calm under pressure, incredibly thoughtful, and someone who genuinely cares about her couples, stop searching and hire her. We are beyond grateful for everything she did for us, and we honestly feel so lucky that we got to work with her.
